Wunnam Basit Issah is a Research Associate at the Witten Institute for Family Business at Witten/Herdecke University. Basit completed his PhD in Management Science at the University of Luxembourg, where he investigated the influence of family ownership on mergers & acquisitions and innovation. Wunnam Basit studied Integrated Development Studies in Ghana. He graduated with an MA in Local Development Strategies from the Institute of Social Studies of Erasmus University Rotterdam. He also graduated with an MSc in Entrepreneurship & Innovation from the Blekinge Institute of Technology in Sweden. Before joining WIFU, Basit held a joint postdoc position at the Open Innovation in Science Center in Vienna and the Copenhagen Business School. Presently his research is broadly focused on Corporate Entrepreneurship and Digitalization in Family Businesses. Wunnam Basit is also interested in Frugal Innovation.
