Prof. Dr. Hermann Frank has been supporting WIFU as a visiting professor since 2012. He is Chairman of the Research Institute for Family Businesses and Deputy Chairman of the Institute of SME Management at Vienna University of Economics and Business. Following his habilitation, he was appointed to Dortmund University’s Entrepreneurship Department, and he was first in line for a Chair of Innovation Management at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna. Hermann Frank was a visiting lecturer at Halmstad University in Sweden in 1996. He was a visiting lecturer at Udine University in Italy in 2000. He taught entrepreneurship at Danube University Krems (MBA) from 2000 to 2006. Hermann Frank also has practical experience in the textile industry, and he is in close contact with people in the industry, especially leading Austrian family businesses. He is also a member of editorial advisory committees for Entrepreneurship and Regional Development and the Journal of Small Business and Enterprise Development.

Hermann Frank has been awarded the Rudolf Sallinger Prize for his research. A number of his journal publications have received awards from the Vienna University of Economics and Business.
