Moot Court

Moot Court for business administration students – In the rooms of the “Landgericht Bochum” (Regional Court of Bochum) business administration students of the Witten/Herdecke University experienced everything that belongs to a real civil court litigation. In fact, legal training at the university is predominantly reputed to be far from reality. To counteract this prejudice, PD Dr. Christoph Schreiber from the Witten Institute for Family Business (WIFU) introduces a new course for business administration students at the Witten/Herdecke University.
During the oral proceedings at the “Langericht Bochum” students took on the role of plaintiff or defendant. The four legal disputes were led by the Presiding Judge Dr. Friedhelm Lißeck.

The fictitious court trail was a huge success and was very well received by all sides. One feedback from the students was: “I came to Witten for an event just like this!”.
Due to the positive response, the seminar will held again next year. We would like to thank all persons involved for the successful event and the ”Landgericht Bochum” for the friendly support!
