WIFU’s research strategy aims to overcome the existing subject-specific limits of the conventional three areas of family businesses research (business administration, psychology/sociology, law) and to focus on topics that are researched in an integrated approach at the interface between conventional disciplines. On the basis of this research strategy, WIFU will be taking a transdisciplinary approach to the challenge of how to augment the theory of the business family developed by WIFU with a theory of family businesses.
