The WIFU has published a new practical guide on “Family Strategy Development in Business Families – Content and Forms of Family Governance and Family Management Systems”. The authors Prof. Dr. Tom Rüsen, Prof. Dr. Arist von Schlippe and Torsten Groth pick up on a current research topic, for which the WIFU has already published a study. “In our new guideline, the findings from more than 20 years of research and practice transfer at the WIFU on the subject of family governance have been incorporated”, explains Prof. Dr. Tom Rüsen, Managing Director of WIFU and co-author of the Practical Guide. “In addition to a theoretical framework, the Witten process model for family strategy development, examples from family constitutions are provided. We expect entrepreneurial families involved in the development of family governance to receive helpful suggestions and guidance. ”

The WIFU practical guide aims to help members of business families setting up their own family strategy in a structured way and to critically reflect on it. At the same time, it gives suggestions for adjustments and further developments, which are conducive to the interaction of family businesses and business families.
