New book “Sociology of the Business Family”
28. September 2023
A new book, edited by Prof. Heiko Kleve and Tobias Köllner, is now available in our library. This book sheds light on the hitherto unexplored topic of business families in family sociology. Given that more than two-thirds of all businesses are family-owned, it is surprising that sociology has so far neglected this important topic.
This book fills this gap and offers systematic family sociological insights into the world of business families. It emphasises that this particular family form faces unique social challenges. It combines, blends and couples two social spheres that are often separated in modern society: Families as part of the private lifeworld and businesses as formal organisations of the economic system. This book promises valuable insights for anyone interested in the intersection of families and businesses.
You can find the book in our online library.
