Dr Fynn-Willem Lohe supports the work of the WIFU as a senior research fellow through various projects and publications. Since 2019, he has been working full-time as a business management consultant at the Federal Association of the German Foundry Industry (BDG) and took over the management of the European Foundry Association (CAEF) in 2020. Before that, he worked in medium-sized restructuring and reorganisation consulting. From April 2014 to June 2017, Dr Lohe was a WIFU scholarship holder. During this time, he spent five months researching acquisition strategies for large Italian family businesses at the Bocconi University in Milan. His research and interests include corporate governance, risk behaviour, M&A and the internationalisation of family businesses against the background of their non-financial goals.
