Professor Rainer Kirchdörfer is a partner at the law firm Hennerkes, Kirchdörfer und Lorz in Stuttgart and a Board member of the Family Businesses Foundation. He is Chairman of the Academic Advisory Council at the Foundation. Professor Rainer Kirchdörfer has been an honorary professor at the Witten/Herdecke University since October 2005. After studying jurisprudence at Tübingen University, he was an assistant at the Department run by Professor Dr Dr h.c. Wernhard Möschel, also at Tübingen University, from 1983 to 1985. Professor Rainer Kirchdörfer is a member of various advisory bodies and supervisory boards in German family businesses. He has been an honorary professor at WIFU’s Department of Family Business Law for a number of years.
