Prof. Dr. Carsten Herrmann-Pillath

At the WIFU, Prof. Dr Carsten Herrmann-Pillath supports the cross-cultural perspective on business families and family businesses with his expertise in China. Since 1992, he has been a professor with a focus on institutional economics, economic cultural research and Chinese economics in Duisburg, Witten, Frankfurt and Erfurt. He is currently a permanent fellow at the Max Weber College for Cultural and Social Science Research at the University of Erfurt, a distinguished visiting professor at Schwarzman College at Tsinghua University China and a permanent lecturer at the University of Tübingen for the Chinese economy. Dr Herrmann-Pillath studied economics and sinology in Cologne.
