Sandra Becker joined the WIFU Foundation in November 2021 and has been head of event management at the foundation since September 2025, having initially taken on this role on an interim basis.

In her role, she is responsible for the strategic direction, planning and implementation of event management at the WIFU Foundation. Her tasks include, in particular, the conception, organisation and ongoing support of key event formats at the WIFU Foundation, including WIFU@MidGen and the WIFU Online Forum. She is responsible for both the content and organisational planning as well as the smooth implementation of the formats in close coordination with the Executive Board and the speakers. As team leader, she coordinates the event management team and works closely with internal and external partners. Her work is characterised by high quality standards and the ability to maintain an overview even in challenging situations.

Previously, Ms Becker was responsible for event organisation and marketing at a corporate network in the circular economy. In addition, she acted as a contact person for its members and interested parties. She completed her studies in business administration at the Fachhochschule Dortmund – University of Applied Sciences and Arts. Before that, she completed an apprenticeship as an event manager in a full-service event agency.
